All, there was a suspicious car hanging around my house this lunchtime in the Ellon area.

It was a Lotus Elan, British Racing Green with yellow stripes across the roof and boot. J*** E** reg plate and had a loud exhaust.
It was driving back and forth across my driveway.
Am in the middle of nowhere and the road is not a through road, hence my suspicions. It also drew into my neighbours road then drove off sometime later. By the time I got out with the dog, it drove off.

Your help is much appreciated.
Yes, the police have been informed as there has already been an incident 10wks ago which has left me still partially disabled.

Thanks all!

Maybe he does, but to actively commit serious crime in a classic bright coloured sports car would be rather silly.

Maybe he wants people to think that?

What incident left you partially disabled, if you don't mind my asking?

It's a Lotus. He was probably checking out some fault or other.

He could have been lost and trying to find directions? I often go off the beaten path looking for fun wee roads to get to my destination.

I never got it for some reason. Please re-send if you can. Ta!

I totally agree, having a Lotus Elan with a loud exhaust is not an inspicuous car, but as it's my house, property and everything on it, I want to know why someone was looking closely at it.

I like to have a nosey at house too, but having someone driving past then reversing and going forward a few times at your property entrance is dodgy in my mind, unless proved otherwise. If someone wants to look at a car, etc closer, they can knock on my door and I'll happily show them. At least I can see what they look like.

Can't say too much, but I was faced against 5 burily blokes piled into a Ford Escort van. I ended up in crutches. :-(

There was a J plate Elan in Green competing at Boyndie on Sat and Sun. Having met the fellow who owned it I would be utterly astounded if he was in any way doing anything malicious. For a start he's of Colin Chapman's generation and secondly he seemed a total gent. If it was the same car then you needn't worry.

I know said competitor at Boyndie.

If that was the Lotus near your drive then..... worry ye not!

Big chaps in a Fordie van - that's a different matter, however
