Guys - Sunday night our house was burgled and both cars stolen, one has since been recovered, still missing is a black ford focus ST 3 door, reg no YK57 JXX - the car is likely to be in the Leeds area as the police tell me that it has not triggered off any ANPR cameras so they have not beennear city centres or on motorway as it would flag up

if you see it, or see any focus ST's parked up in unusual places( may now be in false plates) will you let me know

The car has grey interior and springfield garage stickers in windows

Vectra was found in belle isle area of Leeds

Cheers

Sorry to hear that Paul. I take it that you were not disturbed by them, which may have potentially been a lot nastier. Fingers crossed for an undamaged recovery.

Either that or they have bunged a set of false plates over the top. Was the Vectra displaying its original VRM when they found it?

Both cars were taken from Wakefield (Stanley), they burgled my house whilst we were all in asleep, they have taken a load of gadgets, but thankfully did not come upstairs.

My car was found in belle isle, the police believe this was just used as transport and was not part of the plans - they have not damaged it but I have still had to have all new locks fitted as they have a set of keys.

My wifes Focus is still missing and has still not set off any ANPR cameras so is either parked up or on false plates, the police believe it will be parked up, using lock ups and garages creates a paper trail the thieves do not need.

In all honesty the cars are not that important, they took my Laptop and back up so its causing me no end of grief.

To say security has been stepped up is an understatement - never again will I risk people coming in my house with the family asleep for the sake of a car

Sorry to hear that Paul....not a pleasant expoerience.

Same thing happened to me not long ago. I came down and disturbed them.

Took advice from Crime Prevention Officer; very helpful. House is now like Fort Knox.

Hope the motor turns up.

Cheers. Simon.

Cheers lads, House has been treated to some new security bits and bats to stop it happening again, Still no sign of the focus so unlikely to see that again, My wife has said she wants a basic corsa next ... by basic corsa I hope she meant Alfa Brera !
