Night out in York

After conferring with Bob the Planner on the best way to celebrate his move to Gods County, we decided it might be in order to plan a night out in York. In order to give people a little planning time can I suggest Saturday Feb 21st as a possible night for the planned festivities.

If anyone else is interested please can you post and I can think about some sort of itinerary. Any suggestions are welcome. I'm sure we could plan a Saturday or Sunday drive as well.

I'm around and about from the 3rd and hope to join the TVR gathering in the blue-ish beastie on the 8th. I'm likely to be installed in the Red Lion on the A59 if anyone fancies a pint before the 21st.

I'm up for a beer on the 21st though

Also can't make the 21st,how about organising Yorks run out No2 to welcome BTP to the Yorkshire fold

I like that idea Rob - a blast across Yorkshire followed by a growl through the centre of York to find a pub - Mmmmm, nice!!

Stewart / Bob - you may find that there are a few of us northern lot that cannot make that date... which is a damned shame as I've just found out that all the great bars in York, which had one major downfall, in that they all closed at 11.30... are now allowed to stay open till 2am

If you move to another date let me know... York is a good night out

It would appear that the 21st is not a great date for this. I will go away and discuss with BTP and see what can be suggested.

This is No 2 ! No 1 was back in December when I first started doing 3 days a week in York.

I'll have a word with Stewart and get a 3rd date sorted out for March or No 2 to be on a different day.

What are you guys like at school nights ? I have to be careful due to D&A policy but then again if I'm in the car that should not be a worry.

Always up for a night out in York... except that weekend. Happy to help on organising places to eat/drink too - lived in York for a good few years & still go out there often.

School nights aren't too much of a problem if I can arrange a meeting in Leeds, (usually happens once a week or so). Trouble is, the other days I tend to be all over the place, London tomorrow, Blackpool the day after, then Penzance.. No rest for the wicked..
