A few of us Yorkshire folk have been talking about meeting on Sunday 1st Feb for a run out and a pub lunch. In an attempt to make this a multi region affair Psychobert suggested the following :-

(For those without Autoroute this road runs between Sheffield and Manchester)

Psychobert said:

A6187, (which I always thought was the A625 but you live and learn), is a nice road for a blatt.. Hathersage is picturesque, and there is a cracking pub called The Castle in Castleton which would make a nice stop off for lunch.

We could then go for a quick drive along Winnats Pass. You have to watch out though as the overrun when driving down the Pass can sometimes scare walkers..

It's close enough to get anyone from Manchester involved, could meet us perhaps at Ladybower..

Anyone interested?

Hi Chim_Girl, I mentioned in the Chimaera forum that the North West lot should team up with the Yorks peeps for a blat over Snake Pass.

I will definitely be up for this in the Tuscan. I have also got a few mates coming that weekend (non Phers) in various automobilia from S2000s to S3s and ahem an MX5.

Oh no! I need Spring to come soon. This is the first time in my life that I have been sexually aroused by pictures of roads. Must be withdrawal symptoms.

Bugger!!!! I can't make that. Gone snowboarding that weekend.
If anybody is going down to the Ferrari thing the week after I'll see you for a cuppa.

I'll be there!

We could always end up in Bakewell or Matlock, or wherever all the bikers go on a Sunday - at least they'd appreciate a bunch of TVR's!!

Where should we meet?

It has been suggested that I keep the exact route off line as some suspect that the read these threads and turn up in their own type of supercar.

What's the general consensus, post it or not?

Pyschobert - I'll leave the route planning to you as we're going to be in your neck'o'woods

Snake Inn - went there last Sunday - food was basic and the place itself is dingy - Castleton sounds better, or how about ending up in Bakewell with all the bikers? (Is it Bakewell or Matlock, I can't remember the town, just 10,000 bikes all over the place!!)

It's Matlock Bath where the bikers go, but there will be no parking for a load of TVR's the place gets rammed on weekends and it isn't very big. But then again if the weather isn't too hot it won't be as busy.

Cheers, I'll ask Fish, but he is so determined to get his landrover done this weekend he probably won't want to take the time out.
