Crashes in Hull and surrounding areas?

For the past week, Ive been accompanying a driver delivering catalogue goods to various houses around Hull, Grimsby, Scunny, Hornsea, Withernsea etc and I cant help but notice the sheer volume of vehiclular accidents there seem to be in and around the area 
In the past couple of days, Ive seen a fair few bumps and shunts on the road which is to be expected, an articulated lorry being pushed into the central divider on the Howden bridge, a Mazda 6 (I think) on its roof in a hedge on the B1242 and even worse, one of those little Micra CC things that had rolled down the road, bounced through a hedge and landed, virtually destroyed beyond recognition, in the middle of a farmers field on the way to Thorgumbald (is that how its spelleded?)
Are their many high risk, black-spot type areas in the East Ridings, is it a lack of driving ability or is it just plain old bad luck????
Some of the accidents were fairly severe and I only hope that those involved are ok

No there bloody well isn't, it is the safest county in the Uk, that's why we don't have any speed cameras ... it really is safe ... no, really, no need for any photographic safety measures thank you very much!
or maybe it's just a conspiracy by the "safety partnership" trying to get the figures up to justify more revenue collection.jagdpanther said:

heard about that, my manager Les lives in Keyinghamaround this time last year his neighbour only managed 2 or 3 corners before throwing his MGF into someones front garden
problem with that area is a lot of people over there live in Hull and the traffic is always bad in a morning, so everyone is rushing
it's taken Les an hour and 3/4 to get to work on more than one occasion
Should have seen parts of the A1 link roads the other morning (Friday) when temps were hovering about 1 degree or so, no sign of any gritting been done. On one stretch near Ferrybridge, 3 cars spun in the course of half an mile and I nearly made it 4 with a bit of unprovoked snaking!! This at 8:30am, wonder what it was like early??! Not quite Hull surrounding area I grant you but I was heading towards Hull!!

I thought you went from ~Hull to ~Leeds?I left for work late the other morning at 8am so hit rush hour. I had to wait for two cars to pass the end of our road, TWO I tell you!
