Is there any areas where unlicensed drivers can go?

I was wondering if there was any places where I could take my daughter to drive. She doesn't have a license.

When i was learning you always used to able to go to Tockwith Aerodrome.

Never went, although i know tomtvr did

If she's 17 and not been behind the wheel before, i'd recommend a large Industrial Estate on a Sunday Afternoon/Evening.

Tockwith do some kind of young driver course.

She's only 14 and doesn't have much experience.

You have to be over 14 at Tockwith and take proof
Then you can take her in your own car for £10 for about 1 1/2 hours

Alternatively they have a dual control car you can hire with and without instructor
which is a good way to start them off

It is pretty well set up for this learning, but is a bit rough in places
ie Don't take your P&J

There is also a skid pan and karting if you get bored

Seacroft seems to be quite popular for unlicensed drivers

I suggest you get in touch with your local branch of the under 17 car club. They take youngsters at 14 and teach them to drive in controlled conditions, finishing at 17.

Just be aware that parts of some of these are classed as public roads, therefore lots of nice insurance/licence implications.

I was told there was one at pontefract, but I don't know if you can drive there.

tockwith looks OK I actually blundered onto the training circuit once when I was looking for the skidpan

Another vote for Tockwith - it was £6/hr when I learned at 16 in 1993.

Another vote for Tockwith.

I learnt there from 14 and you can pay for a months unlimited time and its about £50
