cool ... in a sort of "never seen that happen before" kind of a way.

Unlucky for those caught in it. It's just not something that you expect ... York yes, but Leeds?!

The aire actually floods semi regularly. Just never as spectacularly as the Ouse in York.

As usual it means that traffic is completely buggered in Leeds.

Yep, Paola is/was stuck in Doncaster because the trains are fecked. She called me a little while back and I offered to go and get her on the bike. She politely declined so I guess I'll see her when it stops raining.

Am sat in the office in Brewery Wharf overlooking the river and it's a spectacular sight. Just wonderering how to get to Shipley without going through Rodley and Calverley......

I was given a lift standing in the bucket of a farmer’s tractor to get in to Thorner from Carr lane.

Ive just been out for petrol..went towards my usual watering hole; Roydsbeck Shell station only to come face to face with the Ringways Roundabout under 2' of water and the Police guiding everyone around the wrong side of the roundabout

Then, didnt see the Police car at the Makro roundabout (Astra parked in front of it) and thought the run was clear to the Roydsbeck station, partly due to seeing another car further down the road, only to have a Plod Occifer waving me back and him laughing saying "You can if you want, but you'll get stuck and pop the engine!!"

The roads are U/S'd

Cheers for the update - i waited in the office as the river rose and then legged it away at 7pm.
Found most of the roads reasonably clear. Just seen the coverage around Sheffield - looks a lot worse there....
