Good restaurant around Beverley??
Discussion
Tickton grange, budget circa £40 a head for a nice meal and wine.
If you want something a bit cheaper try The crown and Anchor at tickton also, the pub by the river, if its a nice evening and upperclass pubgrub is your thing a meal on the riverbank can be romantic.
Also the manorhouse on the other side of Beverley, again £40 a head ish, Star at Sancton, converted pub but top level food very very good £30 a head, a few indians and chinese but nothing breath taking.

Pipe & Glass superb ... not a chance for this Saturday though I would have thought as they get booked up about 4-6 weeks in advance.
One place I can heartily recommend is about 10 mins drive away near North Cave. The Hotham Arms at Hotham. Very jovial host (Joe) and superb food with a great atmosphere.
Some good suggestions, but as somebody who has just moved away from Beverley, and counts "eating out" as one of his hobbies, I promise you that Sergalios turkish restuarant (North Bar Within, Beverley) is your best bet; yes, Tickton Grange is slightly more convenient, but if you are driving through from Brandesburton, then you may as well drive through to Beverley, and Seraglios is fantastic. Nope, I don't work there, but it is VERY good, and not too expensive. Of the many I've been to in Beverley, it's the only one I really miss.

Many thanks for all the suggestions so far, really appreciate it,
looks a good selection of places indeed.
If any of you are into or fancy a go at watersports ()
and before you start i.e. jetskis,
Yamaha are taking their "wavefest" demo day to Fosse Hill Jetski centre.
You can try different models and if you are a complete novice there are instuctors to hand to
guide you through some basics.
Should be good weather, so pack those bikinis or speedos.
Thanks again

Can 7 year olds have a go?
Is there financial cost involved if we come?

No financial cost at all...........unless you end up buying one!!!
Under 16's can be involved with a suitable adult, however you need to contact the relevant
dealer, i.e. Fossehill to confirm, which may also be an idea, just to place yourself on a list
in case it ends up like other venues, very busy.
"La Zaat" just out side of Beverley on the Hull side on the A164 if my memory is correct.
Very very contemporary surroundings, food is fine but nothing special.

Indeed, I've not been to La Zaat, but er indoors has, and apparently, it is "pan asian" food; very nice. Unfortunately, a couple of miles out of Beverley on the other side from Brandesburton, a bit too far for something to eat this time. Also, it's in the middle of nowhere, so you drive, or pay a fortune for a taxi...
However, Mrs RichBurley has suggested that the next time we're passing there, that we should try it; and it looks like a funky modern restaurant, so a thumbs up for everything except the location.

I'd suggest the Manor House at Walkington is worth a look.
Again, a lovely restaurant in a top class location, with silver service waiting staff; and not too badly priced. However, it's the wrong side of Beverley for someone staying in Brandesburton. Worth a look for someone stopping in Beverley itself; especially midweek when they do a very good £25 for 2 people for a 4 course dinner. We pay more just to go to the Chinese! (Yes, they try and get you on the price of wine instead, but just order drinks by the glass instead...)

dont think masons do food any more its now changed hands and is a wine bar so i been told also the last time i was there i can say i whole hartly do not recomend it waited 45 mins for the meal which was cold when it arrived but it may have changed.
Masons is pretty naff for food. Treat it as a wine bar or a glorified Starbucks, but nothing more....
