Goodbye VX 220Turbo.... hello ??????
Discussion
Sold the VX220 Turbo a week ago today
Sorry to see it go, it was a fantastic car. I've never had a car that you can take such liberties with. I could chuck it into a corner and it would just track round as if to say, "is that the best you can do, bring on the next twisty!"
Had to sell as I was having real problems getting in and out!
A sad sad day indeed............................ anyway whatever!
I'm lining up my next car as I speak
I can't say was it is yet as I'm convinced that I'll put the mockers on the deal!
suffice to say, I won't need to change car clubs and its 'kin loud!
P.S. Thanks for your help Daftlad.

So which one of Johns TVRs did you buy???
Haven't bought anything yet. It's not one of John's, It would have taken me too long to look around the showroom

Hope Saturday was worthwhile - I expected a call but may have missed you as I was pottering round Guadix circuit in an FIA BMW touring car from 1973 - good fun.

I didn't call you John. Everything looked ok. Just waiting for HHC to give it a full inspection on Friday.

Did a sound test with BTP following. He should be along soon to give you the verdict....

Sounds as good as Chris's, about on a par with a CCC Tuscan but without the stereo effect.
I'm sure once you get used to the different power delivery you will enjoy it more (and get better sounds). The time you gave it loads of revs down the A65 chim could not keep up and the pops and crackles as you slowed were good - no sign of flame though.
Hope the rest of the weekend is as fun as yesterday - I enjoyed the run back from pateley bridge - I am not the only hooligan in the village
Tony sent me a text about the new car and I mentioned I was going for a walk from Pateley to the Sportsmans Arms at Wath. Organised on the hoof so not much opportunity for others to join in. I did manage to walk back to Chim in 23 mins from the spotsmans as the car park ticket had almost run out. Michelle got a couple of snaps of the Tamora on the way back along the B6265 - both static and in motion - they look pretty good too. I'm sure Tony will post a couple up when he gets them.

Was that you going aloing skeldergate earlier on this morning then? Very nice if so.
Yes. that was probably me.
Anybody notice in the pic that the rear tyres look thicker than the front?
Just checked 5 mins ago, the front are 35's and the back 40's! No idea why, will get in touch with the previous owners. Presumably, they should all be the same profile?

I'm working down south next week, but will be travelling back on Thursday afternoon. I'm aiming to get to the meet, but it depends on traffic.
Was going to Malton, but BTP's offer of a black sheep sounded better.
