With a possible move up North (far north, Edinburgh) I decided not to spend a load of money on a car but instead to buy a snotter to do Pistonfest and Le Mans in and then when settled in Edinburgh buy something long(er) term.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my new shed.

£2.34 per BHP spin

Anyone fancy helping paint it matt black before Le Mans?

Wow! Well done Mark....that's a lot of car for the money yes What are all your colleagues at work going to say or are you leaving Mercedes with your move to Edinbrough? Did you have a look at it first or is it an impulse purchase? Rock solid those Beemers though! Hope to see you/it at P/Fest and Le Mans.

I've left Mercedes now, its a long and boring story but one that looks set to involve an industrial tribunal.

I didn't even look at it, bit of a impulse buy, I'll let you know if its a shed when I get there.

I hope to track it at Pistonfest

Shouldn't a snotter be some lurid green colour? Unless you have a mining background of course, then matt blacks's fine.

Welcome to the Bavarian side

Mark, are you still up for the barn weekend?

If so, I will bring some matt black hehe

We should do a really neat trim job of it though, none of this just plastering it on all over in a drunken stupour! nono

I'm well up for the barn now I've got wheels.

I'm leaving at 1030pm tonight from Leeds, change at Manchester, then at Glasgow, then at Dundee and arriving at Arbroath by mid morning. (Not that I'm keen or anything). Insurance is set from midnight.

I know with the job I [usually] do I shouldn't be excited but I am bounce

And I was really looking forward to seeing that Trident, oval clock and suede dashboard too.... hehe
Still - damned good buy though at that price - assuming it works, of course! Lets start a sweepstake on how much oil you'll use on the journey home driving

Oh, and while you're up there, could you bring me back some Arbroath Smokies (the local delicacy)? Theyre delicious!

Longer term my friend, longer term. I shall still have an interior like a tart's handbag but not until I've got my job in Edinburgh sorted.
