I want to take my little boy out this saturday and wondered whether anyone knew of any motoring events, motor musuems I could take him to.

I live in Bradford so 10 - 20 mile travel from the homestead won't be an issue.

Let me know.

Regards.

Hmmm, I'm sure I said Saturday and not Sunday, however, thanks, but can't do Sunday.

Just wondering if anyone knew of any car rallies, reasonable motor musuems to visit?

Not the best time of year for events I'm afraid Graham. There's the Yorkshire Motor Museum at Batley (I think) it is about 1/2 mile before Red Brick Mill (if you approach with RBM on your left). Not a stunning day out though.

How about the Railway Museum at York? That's supposed to be pretty impressive then you can go to Pizza Express afterwards lick

I'll second the railway museum, great day out and it's completely free.

Not fair on Andy as this is already mentioned on at least 3 separate threads.

You have a point. Sorry Andy.

However,I'm absolutely amazed how details are regularly plastered over the internet via these fora for ANYONE to see & no thought at all given to any possible ramifications.

But why? it's only a run out around Derbyshire. Start with coffee and bacon sarndwiches. We pootle along gently, admiring the scenery. We stop every now & then (older PH'ers toilet stops are very regular, at every public WC), pull into the odd layby for some tea from a flask or warm lemon drink and a sandwich (crusts off, of course). Then we find a nice town to wander around aimlessly, maybe buy a book we dont need from the clearance bookshop, or some local soap. Then we have a nice lunch followed by a visit to a designer retail village for a wander about, and afternnon tea and a bun. Then we have a nice sedate drive back home.

Why on earth would the bib want to moniter that?
