I need to have the gearbox on my Cerb looked at (pops out of second, suspected worn fingers). I have booked a slot with Gearboxman next month but can anyone recommend a more local option ?

The Cerbera uses a Borg Warner T5.

There is a place at the bottom of Dewsbury Road that is called Clutch and Gearbox Ltd.

They are fantastic, good guys, know their stuff and not too pricey.

Worth going and seeing

Did they do the work "while you wait" or did you leave the car with them ?

I had an engine upgrade done, I thought that I may as well have the gearbox looked at as the engine was out.

I had it shot peened, I think that is how it is spelt.

This basically increases the strength by 30% and produces much less drag, means more hp can get the the wheels.

They had the box for about a month.

They know what they are doing, my mate recommended them to me and he is a pro rally driver, he has all his gearbox work done by them.

pm me if you want to chat about it and I will give you my mobile number.

Kind regards

Ash.

If that is Bernie at CTS (just past Luton) he is a top bloke, took my diff down & collected it. He was a pleasure to meet, interesting to chat to, not just a box shifter. There have been a lot of recs on here for him, but as usual a few dissadents (well only 1 persistent chap IIRC).
