1970 MGB GT needs a few jobs doing to it, wondered if anyone knows a garage that would give it some TLC? I read that Wildoliver restores classics but he's a little too far. Ideally someone in Leeds, Harrogate at a push. (probably will be a push too - it hasn't been driven since the summer!)

Thanks

You've got an MG yikes

If it's interior stuff there's a guy in Harrogate that done some work on the cerb. He does mainly classics though.

There is an MG specialist on Lord Mayors Walk in York, at the Goodramgate end.

Can't remember the details but I'll try and find out and post them up.

There's a firm called Naylor Brothers in Baildon, near Bradford who have a good reputation. I've seen some of their work on MGs in the flesh and was really, seriously impressed.

Thank for the help so far.

It doesn't need anything major, a new wiring loom as the existing one kinda melted, speedo/tachometer refitting, chrome window trim fitting and a general check over before its MOT. Probably have to fit a new battery too, unless it's going to be pushed to the garage. hehe

The garge in york has shut but he has moved to the a64, pm me for directions he is a good friend and a nice chap.

Naylors are very good but not cheap.

I would actually come out to do that work, there is only a days work there, and nothing requiring garage facilities.

Email me for advice.

There's also the guy in Brompton who Alex (Mawds) knows really well. He's a bit of a specialist IIRC. Also the guy at Pickering/Thornton le Dale.

It is a runner, it was fully restored last year. It's going to be up for sale in the next month or so.
