i know its early but it wont be long now till i get my car sorted and will be wanting to go out on some runs.

was thinking last night that it would be cool if we could have a monthly meet and drive out throughout spring and summer and really enjoy our cars.

the plan is to meet up on the first sunday of every month at the tesco carpark at macclesfield, then go on a set route each time which will allow people to get used too the route and learn the roads. finishing point will be the cat and fiddle pub. should have time todo the run twice each time at it should only take about an hour todo

at the end of the day we can head into buxton for a chill and a few drinks then head our seperate ways.

if your interested then add your name, the car you drive aswell as where you will be coming from onto the list below. this will enable us to see the variety of cars coming aswell as arranging mini convoys down to the meeting point.

just to wet your whistle a little heres a couple of vids of the roads we will be going on.

Stoke - meet out side halfords at festival park at 10am for a 10:15 depart.

I really wouldn't put quite so much detail on forum Alex.

We are not the only people who read these pages if you know what I mean.

Good idea, in the Midlands region/forum, we meet every other Tuseday at the Anchor at Oakerthorpe. But we dont have a run out though. Maybe in the summer we can meet at the Anchor at our usual time, 7pm, then have a run out your way. I will try to stir things up and float the idea for the spring/summer.

Finish point is good, but it's a fair way to Macclesfield for those us us East of the Pennines.

Could work if we meet in the middle from a couple of start points.

chose macclesfield as its at the bottom of the cat and has loads of nice roads running from there enabling a shortish route (about an hours driving) with pretty much constant country roads to blat down.

the idea is if people express interest and put there name and location down we can get some meet points organised for your local area and sort convoys down to the meet point. for me its about an hours drive to macc but once im out of chesterfield is really nice roads so it a nice little run just getting there.

if people meet in groups too come over you can work out some nice routes over there to make the journey more interesting.

Fair enough.

Chesterfield is easier for me (as I live there) but two runs are better than one, so no problem there

ok ive put a stop too mr2s coming on the mr2 forum at the moment as i dont want loads coming and putting people off.

basically im trying to get a nice range of cars coming like the runs burnie does as it all helps make more interesting.

im sure i wont be very popular with people on the mr2 owners club

Are MR2s that bad? hehe

I had the 240bhp SP MR2 Turbo as a courtesy car, last week, and thought it was ace!

nah nothing wrong with mr2s just dont it too look like a max power cruise and put people off coming in some more exotic machinery in the future.

i just love all things fast and want to make it more interesting with a nice mix of cars.

its not too bad at the moment with 19 on the list 8 are mr2s but at the rate people were signing up it would get pretty massive.

not sure where were all gonna park as it is hehe

oh and my mate coming with his camera so if you see him at the side of the road park up hes properly filming us all and not broke down

I saw you too. If I knew your MR2 was white I would have stopped. (Especially if it wasn't minging weather hehe)
