Just moved back to Doncaster from Telford, and I'm missing my local with great food and ales.

Any traditional pubs around Doncaster area? Doncaster has changed so much since I have been away I have no idea where anything is any more.

Lots of nice pubs, trouble is the nice ones tend to be a drive away.

We love the Boat Inn at Sprotborough falls, the plough in Arksey (Were I grew up) is a good local. There are a few in Edenthorpe, not sure if they are like locals though. Nearest good ones are probably in Hatfield.

The Barnes Wallis near Howden (about 20 miles away from Donny) does some of the nicest food I've ever tasted. Huge portions too.

We frequent the Eden Arms, not a particularly traditional pub. But the grub is quite good and it's a nice place to be.

I'm quite young at 22 so i'm not sure if thats what your after.

Thanks guys will get round to them all
I remember the boat inn. used to go there a lot before I moved away.

Eden arms is a 10 second walk for me so will probably try there first.
