I wanted to post some pics of my new motor - 993tt in grand prix white - partly for your delectation and partly to show off the good work of Glyn O'Donnel again.

...and also because I've not been spotted on the road yet - when am I gonna make it to the yorkshire interesting cars thread!?

So here's the pics, freshly zymoled and detailed by Glyn O'Donnel - well known on this forum I believe. Pictures don't do the car justice as usual.

Looking forward to the north/east yorks hoon!

Oh good God that's nice!

White definitely looks even better on the newer shapes yes

anyone good at retouching to see what it would look like with some red GT RS alloys on

ps: Kenny, drop Mod500 a line... he is local and will gladly tell you all sorts of things that can be fettled on those ... his yellow 993TT pulled 193mph through the lasers last V.Max!!!!!

scratchchin Hmmm, they don't look quite as good as on the 996 shape for some reason do they .... but still pretty damn good yes

Thanks for the retouch job guys ... now get it off quick before Kenny sees we're already customising his new motor

Gorgeous

and clean!

Are you sure about wanting to come on the next run?

Al, I agree, those wheels don't suit that car at all.

he he I knew I could rely on the PH'ers for some banter-even modding my new motor for me!

Glad you like it-I get the feeling some know the predicament I'm in now-she's too good to put too many hard miles on! though I'm sure my attitude will change over time.

I'm in Roundhay, Leeds Tom-I'm out and about but more likely to be seen in my mk3 golf diesel daily drive!
don't get to razz around much-in fact only at the stuff Stu, Al etc organise really.

ha ha you know me Leigh-it's be atleast a couple of weeks! looks like I need to get in touch with Mod500 (thanks Al )
Cargraphic mufflers and rear console tray enough for now.

No not at all, in fact anyone fancy trying it with the cargraphic multi-spoke 19's for me?

yeah I'm sure Stu-will be more careful with humped back bridges! I'm just wondering how much bhp I need to see off that pesky white 3.2 911, 300 clearly wasn't enough earlier in the year! - or was it my driving?

How much does a 996 Carrera2 have ... cos that wasn't enough either on the Lincs Hoon hehe

well, not until he changed into 6th at about 130 odd then a very small gap started to appear

i think the 400 odd of a Turbo should do the trick though

WOW!

Thanks Leigh clap

What do you guys think? - looks great to me, seems a lot of rennlisters putting these wheels on their 993's.

I think I need to stop looking at these pictures, me and the missus are already on beans-on-toast for a couple of years!

Or how about just doing your current wheels in anthracite? Don't know whether you can keep the silver outer rims on those wheels or not?

They're not split rims so I couldn't do anything could I?

yes

Mask up everything but the spokes and wheel centres and paint desired colour. Re-laquer and wollah!

Do you want a few colour schemes doing to see how it'll look?

Spotted!!

Well at least I think it was you, yesterday(Sunday) afternoon on the ring road heading towards Roundhay, probably about 4.30pm

Unless there's another 993TT in white!
