Auto Electrician anyone?
Discussion
Does anyone know a decent auto electrician handy for the Goole area?
The 911 has what is probably a stupid little loose wire or dodgy relay which buggered up the weekend in spectacular style. At least it had the good grace to go 5 mins into the run and not up near Cleveland somewhere!
Travelling at some velocity all power just went. Rolled to a stop, not even an ignition light, nada... 20 secs later and I have ignition lights and the starter will spin like a good un but to no effect.
AA man spent 30 mins to no avail. We have established that there is no charge to the injectors. We have swapped the DME for the spare, to no effect. So, it must be some other relay somewhere OR a dodgy wire on the immobiliser.
Obviously I can't get it up to Strasse as I can't get it started, so, a good lecky is the order of the day ... anyone know a good one please?
(I would get a Clifford guy up to take the immobiliser out and put a complete new one in ... but if it isn't this, then I'm back to square one).

I think the fuel pump relay is what is also known as the DME relay under the passenger seat.
It was ocassionally a bit sticky when I got the car so I just had a new one fitted ... I still have the old one as a spare though which we tried ... nothing though.
I have been given the number of an apparently very good auto electrician right her in Goole, so fingers crossed
