Harewood: 16th & 17th September
Discussion
Saturday 16th September
Over 20 Ferraris and 20 MGs will grace the hill at Saturday's Greenwood Cup meeting as the Ferrari owners club and the MG Car Club drivers compete in rounds of their own championship. The Ferraris range from the beautiful Dino to the 250 GT, with a wide range of other models including F355s. The MGs range from Midgets, through MGBs to the more contemporary ZRs.
We are also running the penultimate round of the 2006 Richard Alexander Volkswagen Harewood Speed Hillclimb Championship. As usual the results are tight at the top of the table, with less that 3 points separating the top 5 drivers and only two rounds to go.
Sunday 17th September
Traditionally the Mike Wilson Memorial meeting sees some great runs as drivers throw caution to the wind for the final event of the season.
Sunday sees the final round of the Richard Alexander Volkswagen Harewood Speed Hillclimb Championship and it's bound to be a fascinating battle between the top drivers. At the start of yesterday's meeting Dave Banner in his OMS held a 2 point lead over Dave Sykes, which sets a tough but achievable challenge for the Peugeot 205 driver. James Blackmore leads the Fastest Time of the Day championship in another OMS and Sarah Cordingley has already secured the Ladies championship in yet another OMS making it potentially a clean sweep for the local constructor.
We also have some fabulous cars in our visiting classes with the Ginettas,
28 Porsche competitors and a staggering 38 Lotus 7 Club members battling for the honours (all driving Caterham 7 just to confuse you!).
The Sunday will feature a classic car show in addition to our usual events

It allows me to substitute if there's a need.
As if Linda would let you take the Tam
The nice thing is, she'd be over the moon to see her Tamora run up the hill.
I'm not sure if it would be any slower than the Saga Lout either.
May just struggle with the noise test though...
Popped up to see this this afternoon - top stuff
Only saw one Tiv on the hill - silver Sagaris with Hexham stickers on it.
Some of those caterhams were really pushing on There was also a very striking TT hybrid with a V8 in the back
Good day out! I think I'm going to have to do the Harewood school thing so I can take the Tuscan up next year

twas a good weekend, made a great finish to the season. (and one 2 bottles of white wine and 4l of mobil oil in the marshals draw )
some big accidents... tho thankfully all where alright, and the only damage is to their wallets. good weather, tho sunday dawned very misty!
yes, Simon Bainbridge's 4.5l audi "TT" (the door catches are from a TT) is quite a machine, hopefully he'll get the quattro system sorted and he can stop snapping driveshafts on his runs and start turning up the power and boost.
plenty of money was raised by Steve for Motor Nurone Diease
looking forward to next season

As far as i know - ok.. beyond that i dont know, as i can't see the timing gantry, or hear the comentry between cars on the startline... but i know he didnt bend it.
did get chance to have a chat before his first run as he was at the tyre warming point when someone binned it at Quarry, so there was a 5 mins delay to clear that up. Was like talking to the stig, he was start there, helmet on, and the radio playing
Also, very nervous stood next to car on the line, with my foot against the chock, with his exhaust blowing warmly against my leg... thank good he didnt have an anti lag launch control system like the Evo!
