Our next meeting on Sunday 6th August offers you a Morris Minor to a 2.8 litre Hart powered Pilbeam race car! The range is vast in the car classes.
We will have the visiting Ginetta class along with our usual road, sports and race car classes. Watch out for Simon Bainbridge's new Audi TT V8 which will be there too, assuming that Simon has sorted the problem which caused the car to break drive shafts at the last meeting. Also you will have chance to look at the latest machine from Mitsubishi, the EVO IX RS of Karl Jackson.
Watch out for the championship battles too in the Richard Alexander Volkswagen championship. The top six places in the main championship are separated by less than two points. Andy Barton in the Peugeot 205 GTi leads Bob Bellerby in the Peugeot powered Sylva Striker by just 0.06 points! The top two in the Fastest Time of the Day (FTD) Championship are on the same points score, although Dave Banner leads in his 1098cc OMS race car as he has three maximum scores compared to James Blackmore's two.
At this meeting we will also have motorbikes from 250 cc solos to 1,216cc three wheelers in seven classes. The bikes are competing in a round of the National Hillclimb Championship for bikes. Watch out for some tasty machines and plenty of action. Last year four of the class records were broken and the first sub 60 second bike run was seen from Jason Reeve and Dawn Bateman on the two wheel drive FRS.
