I swear some of these hailstones were the size of 10p piece and three of them came through my rear window.

So now I need a new one stitching in, any recommendations for local trimmers and how much should it cost.

Will it be possible to claim on my insurance, after all it is a window….

The insurance will probably say "Act of God" and refuse

I want some weather like that over here. Just after I've got the cats in

Didn't think they could use that as an exception these days!?

Amazing that hail managed to damage the rear screen though, without putting dinks in the bodywork

I’ve checked with my insurance this morning (Norwich Union) and they wont pay under the normal windscreen cover as its not glass, they will pay under a normal claim but my excess is £470 and my best quote so far is £250.

I agree about the body dinks, that is what I went out expecting to find, but that’s OK. I was parked next to a Lexus and that was fine as well. On closer inspection of the hood there are also areas where the stitching has burst.

Cheers,

Simon.
