Hi all,

I'm new to this site but I've got an event coming up that may be of some interest to anybody in the Yorkshire / North East area. To detail this I've copied over an email which I sent to the editor of Autosport. If anybody is interested in what should prove to be a fantastic event, please do not hesitate to contact me on 01482 609300.

Many Thanks

Mike Rogers

Hi

As daft as this may sound, i'm in the process of co-ordinating a MASSIVE sport relief "mini mile". That is, approx 120 Mini's (new model) dominating the first lane of the Humber Bridge. I'm meeting with 2 more organisers tomorrow eve, and with Humber Bridge staff to start co-ordinating this. It's in aid of Sport Relief - and we're hoping to raise approx £2,500

If you're interested in doing a similar sort of thing, email me and I'll send you everything we have so far (from police escorts, staff contacts at the humberside council etc etc)

Regards

Lee

Are any of us meeting up at all ?

Is there a gathering or has nothing been arranged.

Kenyon - Fezza rides - what about TVR rides ? I may be free with my car.

Sound also comes out of my TV, you must have one of those very old TVs with only pictures and no sound. I have heard that Charlie Chaplin is a riot

Any one can attend with a sports car. Just tell Mike Rogers that you are coming for entrance tickets. Guys make the effort for charity and free fuel...

Best Homer Simpson voice:

"Mmmmmm, free fuel...."

Might get over there depending on whether the pass out is granted from the commandant. Nick, I`m at home otherwise superglued to a paintbrush if you fancy a cuppa mate.

Excellent day. F40 coming tomorrow including a yellow 348 I have been told. Couple of other sports cars too. Did loads of rides across the bridge. Loads of women wanted rides. Will be there tomorrow around 1300 ish.
We park under the main bridge on a slip road. You have a strip of road like a tunnel where the noise from decatted tubi is unreal. The police where in impressed too. All round a great day. All for charity, fuel paid, great weather and lovely passengers what more do you need.
