Yorkshire Police Depts Merging

Seen on the news today that it's possible that North/South and West Yorkshire police depts may merge into one larger department.

So, does this mean that North Yorkshire will soon be full of scameras like South/West Yorkshire?

Suppose it depends who the head honcho will be. Most of the major roads in N Yorkshire a so clogged up with traffic anyway, I doubt they would add that many cameras.

Not much point adding a camera to catch the typical yorkshire muppet desparetly trying go nowhere fast at 40mph on perfectly decent roads

This must be one of the few counties where farm tractors don't cause a jam, they actually have to slow down!

Bugger, potential of scamera's in N Yorks.

Worrying that they seem to have them wire strips over some roads, and lots of new red backed SLOW markers on a local road to my parents... (yes, big SLOW signs right where any good driver would know to go SLOW, ie, a bend or blind brow )

Ah well, RA Compact will remove that problem... and where do they get power out in the sticks? Easy to get a local farmer to clip them with the Teleram *accidentally* too
