Great news about Pistonfest '06
Any thoughts on a convoy yet. Saturday April 29th - Monday May 1st.
I've packed already and ordered a pin of Brown Cow best bitter.

WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHERE?

oh, it doesn't need a day off from work, thank God for that!

Convoy sounds good, presuming it's in the Midlands somewhere (yes yes, I'll look in a minute!) Woodhall Services just south of J31 as usual?

Yes count us in. We were thinking of going along the A15/A17 as apposed to the A1

Hmm, now that I've found it is in some easterly foreign region, A1 may be the better route.

Best wait till we see who's going and sort a meeting point. Possibly Ferrybridge or the services at the junction of the M18/M180 depending which route.

Me please and any NEPHers I can encourage along. PF isn't PH without a convoy.

Can't make the convoy as there's a trackday at Donnington Saturday and Kart racing Sunday, but PLEASE go through Caistor cross country on the B1225 to Horncastle as it's just a bloody brilliant road! Hope to be there Sunday evening or Monday!

And another convoy video. I remember the last one was very good.

With 3 days of drinking and car chat with the people from here. The last two were fantastic but accompanied by drag racing for those who could drag themselves out of their tents or out of the beer tent. See here for evidence of previous PF

Sort of A1079, Humber Bridge, B1225, A17 (Boston to kings Lynn) then A134 and A11 to Snetters type of way then ? No extra distance but does it have any cameras ?

A17 has millions of front facing cameras, I used to regularly drive from Leeds to Norfolk soon after I moved here. Will be going to PF this year if I can get my arse in gear and get down there somehow.

I live in Grimsby (near Caistor) and I'm not sure which direction you're travelling in, but there are no fixed speed cameras near there, apparently people see coppers every blue moon...

There are some pretty good roads around there, quite high-speed usually empty roads....

Don't think I'll be going to this, but if I know when you're going I'll be happy to stand and watch a few nice cars go past

My children and I are going, but we shall eschew the A17. I hate it. We'll go South down A14 and then North up A11. A11 may be as bad as the A17 (I don't know) but I continually strive to learn from my mistakes. Did I say, I hate the A17.

Be seeing you.

We're going, and It'd be great to hoon down through the Caistor area as that's where I grew up (and my Mum still lives there). I'm sure my Mum would love to watch a convoy of cool cars hoon past...
