Now on Dec 1st I go back!
8 yrs of sitting in various offices and I felt it time to go and do the shift / response thing.

So look out York
There'll be a new Sherrif in town - am sorta looking forward to it in a wet cold wintery type of way! :hehe:

I'd be interested in your observations (of people/society) across the 8 years Rich.

But, what if, heavens forbid, you have to run after someone?

Could be rather embarassing, when the spotty kids waving back to you, shouting 'Come on old man, you never going to catch us'.

Better leave the and the donuts alone then..

Do hope its fun, we want all the stories though.

Hello Gemini. 8 years! Blimey, I've been at HQ 6 months and it's already driving me mad. Incidentally, I was at a meeting a couple of weeks ago with a Supt from North Yorks.

I'm having a mental block on his surname, but first name was Colin. All to do with Niche RMS. Very good chap I thought.

ill have to remember to be on my best behavior on nights out, i always do silly things after a thimble or two of Port, like try to jump over bollards and end up falling over.

York feels a safe place, so i hope/expect you will spend more time helping people than arresting them.

York feels like a safe place in the day, but its pretty grim at night. I got punched in the face by some chavs near kwik save on hull road. they need sorting out.

yes there are a lot of chavs on evening, tend to be more around the edges of town as the shops are closed and they cant get into pubs.

Last time i worked in york was for a bunch of ozzies. I can remeber going to the
pub and then waking up on the train to leeds. Top night probably, wish i could remember it

Allways seemed a nice place, same as harrogate. But then that was before the chavs decended.
