Hi

Daughter is living in York and needs some work done on her car, just run of the mill - brakes, servicing, MOT . I had planned to do the brakes over Christmas and give it a thorough check but she's decided not to bring the car back.

Car isn't anything special, a 12 year old small car

Any recommendations for a garage who will do what needs to be done, do it properly and not take the p*ss?

Closer to Hull Road area the better

I was about to suggest this place, just off hull road.

Used about 10 years ago. They were very good. Small error on their part left me without a functioning car on Xmas eve. They gave me a courtesy free for 2 weeks to take to the other end of the country (and back).

They were very professional and well priced, and honest.

However it looks like they’ve just shut at the end of last month… so not much help, sorry…

Bryn’s Garage on the Raynor Centre off Hull Road is excellent, he did some work on my 940 recently. Sound ‘old school’ mechanic.

Cameron’s GT Auto, also on the Raynor Centre did a good job on the exhaust on the same car as well and have a bigger premises so may be able to fit work in more quickly.
