Hello all, sorry if this has been done to death before, but I live in Burley in Wharfedale and I plan on buying a (cheap) personal plate from the DVLA. I was looking for recommendations on where to get the plates made, please, and the approximate cost. I could also buy the plate from a company called Primo who supply the plates as part of the package, but I was put off by several reviews. Any advice or recommendations please? Thanks in advance.

I have just bought a pair of legal plates from an eBay seller called ‘incarproducts’.
Listing says documents need to be sent, but I didn’t send any and the plates came in a couple of days.
Best bit is they were only £14 for a pair including a choice of fixings.

Thanks Scrump. I'll check them out! I got the impression from the Gov site that I would have to present the docs, so I think I'd mentally disregarded using an online supplier. Probably just me being overcautious though.

GSF Car parts in Otley (Opposite Waitrose) will make them up for you while you wait. 5 mins.

About £25. Just need V5 and driving licence.

Thanks, STURBO! I remember they used to advertise number plates in the window, but they seem to have taken the ad down now. Much obliged for the additional option!

And I'm pretty sure I have the least "PH-worthy" car of them all! Helpful folk around here too. I certainly didn't have to wait long for helpful advice, which is great!

Not a Nissan Note? I had one of those. hehe

Halfords made up new number plates, as old ones were faded:-
“Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Front Registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread (0.1 (b))”

New motor had a spare set hidden under the boot carpet. Dealer decided to supply his own.

Yes, a humble Note! But two wheels are really more my thing!

I've never cared for cars being PH-worthy. It's about an enthusiasm for cars, be them yours or other peoples.

Anyhow I have an XC60 diesel SUV so can't exactly be PH.

Oh and an MX5.
