Cars and Coffee East/North Yorks. Return to morning runs.
Discussion
I keep seeing friends arranging meets at various car and coffee events at places like Caffeine and Machine, and find it frustrating we have very little over this side of the country.
I also miss the early morning "runs" we used to do lots of.
Now Covid is impacting our lives a bit less, and as we are mostly powerfully built directors of a certain age most of us have probably had one or more jabs anyway, should we start looking to get some semi social events underway.
My suggestions are one of the following.
1. A morning run, with a meeting point towards the end of the run which those who don't want to be up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday can meet up with us.
2. Cars and coffee type events, I don't mind speaking to pubs/cafes/car related attractions to accommodate a load of us tipping up in some cars and having a few drinks while talking nonsense.
Add your thoughts below.

There’s a new cafe opening just at the side of Sherburn Aerodrome (or was before Covid) that was also offering similar services.
I visited before lockdown and it looked a good option for meet ups etc….
This place is called The Motorists's Hub, it's now getting well known and very popular.I visited before lockdown and it looked a good option for meet ups etc….

Caffeine & Machine is a great venue with good food. Our new venues need to do a bit of catching up.

I am lucky enough to live very close to the Motorist Hub in Sherburn - its really good, proving very popular, attracting lots of car clubs, and surrounded by excellent driving roads. You need to book on Sundays, but not the other days. If the weather is decent, Wednesdays are busy. Decent food too!
Its great, worth a run out with some mates if you havent been.
bit out of the area but worth considering the carding shed in holmfirth - http://thecardingshed.co.uk/

Yeah motorists hub is great. Amother vote from me for it…. Only go every couple of months, usually a sunday, but its always a good morning out.
Went to the Motorist's Hub this morning for the first time. Plenty space for car meets/clubs. Fairly quiet and the showroom was shut. Nice people in the cafe serving but painfully slow service for a bacon and egg sarnie. 2 Astons in the car park, couple of original Minis and that was it.

I'll say it quietly. There were cyclists there.
I’ve been to The Motorist (aka The Motorist Hub) a few times and enjoyed it, but they’ve started charging to attend certain events so I tried the NY500 near Pickering last week. Great atmosphere, nice folk running it and a great mix of attendees’ vehicles. And it’s free to park up. Won’t be going back to The Motorist.
Had a run out to NY500 last Sunday am early, looks very promising. No one else there so chatted to the owners for a bit, nice people, decent brew, good plans.
Think it could be a winner. Should add this Sunday is ‘Supercar Sunday’, they’re doing different themes each Sunday on rotation, so may be worth dropping in.
