I think i've got collared by a mobile scamera coming up Meadowhead monday evening. The g#t was parked behind a wall on the brow of the hill, with just the camera sticking over the top of the wall, is this legal? Just to warn any one else, he was there again last night (tuesday) so he may be there all week

The offence is speeding.... the rest (i.e. signs, being visible, etc) are only guidelines which don't necessarily have to be followed.

I'm sure they would still get enough 'customers' if they were more visible but there you go ......

Richard.

I've seen them parked in Graves Park entrance near the 'pitch and putt', so i'm assuming thats where you mean. They are always around there recently, so watch it both directions.

I did get caught, the slip came through the monday after, asking who was driving.
ALSO watch out for the UNMARKED '02 reg dark blue Volvo usually on the ring road.

Send the location by e-mail to Pocket GPS (www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php) so they can stick it on their scamera database - I can then download it to my Tom Tom, and I'll be safe!

(And so will lots of other people )

To be fair to them they did leave a temporary 'Speed Camera' sign up for most of the day before setting up. Their positioning at the brow is just ridiculous - its so easy to do 50 up there without trying ..... well theyve made a real mess of the run up to the lights now ie one lane so it'll more difficult to speed.

Another fave postion is as you come off the Dronfield by pass up to Meadowhead - they sit in the layby just before the Lowedges turn rubbing their hands with glee.

Lovely people.

Broccers, watch out. They've moved from there now and taken to HIDING in the trees on the central resevation or behind the big Willow tree on the end of Lowedges Road.
I know what you mean about the speed up there though. A good job i'd only just come out of Morrisons and was only daudling up the road. Got done for 40 in a 30, couldn't see him till over the brow of the hill and on the flat and being low down in the Tiv and he was HIDING behind the wall.
By the way found out by letter how much my fine is today, £60 + 3 points unless i want to argue my case (not) in court where it could be upto £1000 + 6 points.
