"M.C. Banners" appears to have elected me as his press officer. Hence - get yourself down to the Woolpack Inn at Esholt (nr Shipley just outside Bradford) on monday 4th July for the TVRCC meet.

We have a wide and varied mix of cars from Vixens through to Saggies. There will be plenty of Zolder tales being told, such as
A TVR being towed by a Noble!
Various misfire mutterings
Near death experience at the Nurburgring
Daftlad defecting to the frogs

See you there.

Yep, went along to this - my first TVR club meeting in nearly 12 years of ownership/membership! (Best not to rush things). Thanks Rog for suggesting it and taking us on a very good drive on the way there - reversing lights are nice and bright mate!

I was checking to see which gears I *could* get with the diminishing amount of clutch fluid I had left in the master cylinder.

Great to see you again and thanks for the ride for the spare Dot4, that 420 SEAC engine makes a lovely sound and rapid progress!

Well attended meet wasn't it?

Humberside used to be part of Yorkshire didn't it?

Edited to add:
Apart from that bit south of the river.

The South yorks meet near Conisboro' would be your nearest I'd guess, though you'd be very welcome to visit the Yorks & Humberside meet at Esholt, which is a lovely location, not in Bradford.

Certainly was - I'd heard reports (not on PH) that some meetings can get a bit "catty" between the newer/older model owners (particularly when I lived in the South). Glad to see this isn't the case in Esholt.

Satch, sort your attributions out mate, I didn't say what you quote me as saying, Steve did.

I shall have to actually join the TVRCC so I can have equal slagging rights.

First Monday of the month again. Dave and Sue are thinking about going in their 1937 Singer; Banners on his '68 Norton; and me on my '74 Lambretta.

Who knows, maybe a TVR or two might turn up?

I could wheel out the old Matchless I suppose. I'd be riding home with no lights though.

Hmmm. Wedge it is. See you down there.

Thanks Al, a good time was had by all, in the Shoulder of Mutton at the bottom of Hollins Hill as the Woolpack was closed. A real variety of nice cars including a 1930's Singer, a noble, several newish TVR's and 'the shed'.
