Hi it’s been a good 5/6 year ago since I went to this, is it still a good morning out or has it turned into a chav fest? Also anyone from here going? Last time we all met at xscape castleford and conveyed over and was 20/30 of us and was a good drive over/morning out.

The last few times it was on there was a ‘chav’ element; but it’s free, collecting money for a good cause and a decent drive out for a morning.
There were plenty of good cars in amongst other more Chav bits.
To counter the chav element I’m taking a modified mk2 Focus RS.
But then chavs can be enthusiasts too.

Never you mind

I'm off to it. Can be a bit of a chav fest and the roads are heavily policed during it but it's still a good morning out.

Not much traffic on this post, there have been a few convoys in the past, surprised at the poor response. 🤔

Stopped going years ago due to the chav element. Headed that way this morning and was passed by about 30-40 chav cars. Glad I didn’t bother.

It was actually a really nice event this time. The field parking was excellent, safe and plenty of room.

Less good was the pheasant strike on the way over that resulted in a. Lots of damage and b. Me not paying quite as much attention as I normally would and now having c. 2 weeks nervous waiting for a letter I don't want.

But yeah those totally unrelated issues aside it was a really nice event!

Mercifully not!

So just the bumper to sort. Frustrating as the car had only done about 100 miles since the bumper was off last to fit new headlight lenses and fit it all up together properly.

Didn't even get to pick the feathery bd up.
