Real shot in the dark this one.

We get married in July and Sarah has long wanted a Fiat 500 (classic). We discussed wedding cars earlier and she suggested with lit up eyes that a fiat 500 wedding car would be the thing to make her wedding.

Is there anyone within a sensible distance of Driffield who would be up for making a young ladies wedding day by giving her a lift from Driffield to Nafferton around 2 miles away? In return I'm happy to pay, your welcome to the wedding/reception if you like (curly sandwiches all round), or can even offer a service on your car or similar.

Like I say a shot in the dark but you never know.

I've certainly not seen many round here, there's one in Scarborough but it doesn't look hugely roadworthy!

Thanks for the good wishes!

I know someone who had one, it got used (in Leeds I think) when they relaunched the 500 I will ask.

I do. A rare RHD original Abarth 595. Unfortunately it did look like the first three pictures below (one at a friend's house next to his modern 595 hahaha) until the paint started lifting last summer and it now looks like picture 4. In fact I'm taking the opportunity to replace a few panels which it turned out had filler in so it's not even a case of just painting it.

Not sure when it will be ready, might be by July but I couldn't guarantee it so relying on it for a wedding is probably not a good idea.

What a gorgeous little chap!

Lovely garage too!

I shall keep looking, not having a huge amount of luck so far, at this rate short of buying one which is out of budget given all the other costs at the moment I think the idea may end up being shelved.

Sorry. If it does look like it will be ready I will definitely let you know. Would be good fun.

The lad I know has still got his, so don't give up just yet.

Forgive me if i am pointing out the obvious and you've done this already but i have a vague (admittedly very vague) recollection of hearing there is someone in the owners club that deals with these kind of requests.
I would contact the Fiat 500 owners club and the 500 Enthusiast club, it might also be worth a post on the Fiat forum, theres a sub section for the classic 500. You would be surprised how many of them are about, so i do think you stand a good chance. Another option (long shot admittedly) is to google if there are any classic 500 parts shops near you, they will know of the local cars and anyone who might be able to help you out.
