Camera van new hide-out in Leeds at start of M621
Discussion
Think they've got me banged to rights . Coming out of Crown Point on my way to the M621 and was rather exuberant on the throttle coming away from the lights at Meadow Rd to the ones where the M1 and M621 start. I reckon 50 is probably somewhere close and despite it being 3 lanes wide it's now a 30 along there (didn't it used to be 40?). Camera van parked alongside the lights in the layby/bus bay thing. Never seen them there before. Grr. Keep your eyes peeled if you're coming out of town onto the motorways, it's nearly always wacky races along that stretch as everyone jockeys for position to get in the correct lanes.

Got my NIP today, should have known better that van has been there often recently
Feck! That's not good news . I'm seriously hoping the operator was on tea break or something when I flew past otherwise I could be looking at a court visit. Nothing in my mail yet.Didn't that used to be 40 along there a few years ago? Ridiculous having it as 30 when 200 yards later it's NSL onto the motorways. Definitely everything to do with "safety" and nothing to do with an easy cash grab from people driving at a sensible speed for the road width and layout...

All that matters is I like it.
Been here for nearly six years now and love it.There are, however, assorted bits of road where the speed limit makes absolutely no sense and this is one of them.
I hate going South (family all down that way) because of the absolute drag it is getting onto the M1 or A1 depending on my destination.

They got me January 2018 in exactly the same spot I was doing 37
36 for me at the end of last month, even if I'd seen this post previously I still think I'd have been doing the same kind of speed there. It just feels like more of a 40 than a 30 what with it being 3 lanes with a central barrier, a few seconds from the motorway and deserted. I'm just surprised I haven't been caught earlier and at a higher speed there. £84 awareness course this time next week.
