Hi all,

I'm looking for a place that will powder coat my 130i wheels in Ferric Grey (same as the M135i/M140i). I had them refurbished this time last year so they don't need to be done again, I just want someone to spray them.

I've had quotes ranging from £60 a wheel to £90 a wheel - am I being unrealistic or does this seem a bit steep considering I just want them painted? I only paid £240 for a full four-wheel refurb last year.

Can anyone recommend companies in Sheffield/Rotherham area they've used before and the rough cost?

Thanks in advance.

AP tyres in Parkgate will do them. I expect they'll be about £200-250 for all 4 though.
I suppose to do a good job they will need stripping a bit and priming. I don't think a quick cheap job will suffice.

Try Autodynamics on Attercliffe, they've done a few sets for me and they've all been top quality

Just got my refurbished wheels for my X3 back from Autodynamics in Sheffield.

First thanks to AndyS2 for the recommendation, they've made a great job of them.

Would definitely recommend them.

I recently had mine done by LCS Power Coatings

£80/wheel including tyres off and back on again and balancing. I'm happy with the finish.

just had a quote from these guys for a set of 17" wheels, £50/wheel or £100 per wheel diamond cut.

They must take wheel size/difficulty into the quote, the £80/wheel I mentioned above was for 20" Land Rover multispoke alloys with all terrain tyres.
£50/wheel is pretty good.
