Anyone travel South Bradford to North Leeds in morning rush?
Discussion
I need to get from Chain Bar to Moortown Harrogate Rd for 8.55 am tomorrow in my car. Anyone here travel along this route and can give me a decent approximation of what time I should be setting off please? Having lived in Bramhope area I know it tends to be quite gnarly going the other way at the Toby Carvey and Horsforth rbt but never really paid attention to the traffic going the other way. Is Rodley Rbt as bad in the mornings as it is of an evening or should it be flowing okay?
I did think about going M62 M621 but I know the M621 will be 30mph at that time of the morning and it'll be chocker down Ingram Rd to the gyratory so I'm thinking going across Bradford will be quicker.

There are plenty of roadworks going on at the Moortown roundabout and I believe the King Lane one by Sainsburys, so depending on the conditions and where on Harrogate road you are going it could be down to one lane, you may want to leave a bit early, the queue's in both directions can get impressive and they want to put in a bus lane down Harrogate road, geniuses LCC are not.
Thanks. I didn't realise you could set a leaving time and date on google maps for routes so did that before I went to bed last night. To my surprise it showed the motorway route significantly quicker, indicating that the only hold up might be around the top of the M621 where the Gildersome slip joins. I decided to go for it and sure enough the prediction was spot on. I set off at 0745 and I was outside the place at Moortown by 0815 via M62, M621, that newish flyover road that used to be the Iron Bridge and S Accommodation Rd (dunno what it's called these days) and then up past the bus station and bottom of Eastgate, Sheepscar and up Scott Hall Rd.
Google maps showed that the queues to both Rodley and Horsforth are just as bad of a morning so that was my deciding factor to go via the motorways even though there's on 0.2 mile in it route wise
I'm sure once the bus lane is complete they'll make sure that the lights stay on red for another 20 seconds as you watch the bus disappear over the horizon.
