Bit of shock I was getting the car serviced and there was no new cars in the showroom, I asked one of the salesman and he shrugged his shoulders there’s hardly any money in new cars anymore.
The servicing side still remains I was just a puzzled why they’d keep just that side thoughts anyone?

They've been canned by BMW.

Dealers often try and keep the servicing side as they'll have a lot of investment in tools and training but they don't usually last long.

Which is doubly odd, as they've just won a Rolls Royce franchise.

Shame though, I've had nothing but crap experiences at Stratstone, JCT have actually been decent.

I phoned Stratstone BMW Leeds about an I8. Booked an appointment to see their I8 specialist and go for a test drive. When we got to the dealership it was shut down. Phoned them to find out they'd moved the day before, old address still on their website, same phone number. Didn't occur to them to tell me they'd moved when I arranged to go and see them the day before. Wasted 45 mins.

Got to the correct location to be told the i8 specialist was busy. Got an idiot who knew nothing and repeatedly said he'd have to look in the brochure to answer basic questions. Asked him to get a brochure, they didnt have any. Asked for the test drive as arranged, was told they didn't know where the demo car was.

Utter joke.

Having said that about Stratstone, I've only used JCT BMW Bradford once. They motd my old 330D. Collected it and the oil check light came on immediately. No oil showing on the dipstick, none. Had to put 4 litres of oil in to get it to the top of the dip stick. Luckily they have nearly 7 litre capacity. The car had never required an oil top up prior to going to BMW not after and we had it 4 years. I suspect they started a service by mistake and began sucking oil oil before realising the mistake. Or it could be a coincidence that it needed 4 litres immediately after collection.

I’ll be honest I’ve never had an issue with them, they serviced my e36 m3 up on oak lane in the mid 90’s and my e46 m3 at the current place on sticker lane, I wonder if anyone else will take on the franchise.

I guess sometime in the future we'll all be ordering our new cars over the internet.

All the current dealers will then just be service centers.

After so many poor experiences with main dealers I'll welcome it.

Odd because it's only a short while since they revamped the whole site.

They were awful for me too.

I ended up getting mine from sandal bmw in Wakefield. By far the best dealership in West Yorkshire

Than BMW? JCT600's CEO said he didn't know why they don't have BMW any more, so it doesn't appear to have been a decision based on where they could get a better ROI.

First e46 M3 from Sandal Wakefield. Good experience.
Got my X3sd from JCT600 BMW and they were great, even sorting out a Lancashire dealer's cock ups in the service history.
Bit later JCT BMW called to say they had a trade in I might like, a DB7 Volante. So traded in another e46 M3 I had recently bought from Sytner Sheffield.

They were all very good and I hate the buying 'experience' at dealers. However, after a shunt up the bum, the DB7 needed a rear bumper and a little work. Decided on a full respray and it was the worst paint job I've ever had. Attitude by JCT people was sh*te and ended up being resolved by the paint manager at Aston personally. That put me off JCT altogether. Until we wanted a Golf diesel as her runabout that is...... wink

Must admit their bodyshop is poor! My brother had issues with them back in the 90’s with his 911 which needed a big insurance repair, his thoughts were you could have the same person repairing Vauxhall’s in the morning and Porches in the afternoon.
Had the scratch on my M2 repaired at Sandal bmw in Huddersfield and it’s absolutely flawless. smile

Mixed views on JCT BMW, I had two good salesman and one that was a complete and utter arse on a deal I did with him, had to get John Tordoff involved to get it resolved and fair play to him he did sort it out and was on the phone to me within 30 minutes.

But the service dept were crap zero customer service very transactional and I moved to Lloyd Colne who are great.

Bradford JCT were and remain dreadful

I've never had a totally happy experience with them

Most recently exemplified when I left my M6 gran coupe for a simple oil service at 10am....called at midday to be told it was on the ramp.....

Attended to collect at 4pm ...and guess what...it was being driven in ....

It's always lies and misinformation coupled with a hateful spiteful attitude from staff

I've never had any issues with Harrogate BMW but sometimes it's just not convenient to go so far for a small job.

Hey ho....
