Hi there

I'm about to embark on teaching a friend to drive. She's got a prov license, AND INSURANCE on my car, and a little experience but NO confidence.

Any advice on empty car parks, or big empty spaces in Sheffield where we can do some maneuvering without company? Like I said, it's all legal, but she'd be happier in some empty space first.

Sorry if this is over-asked - all the posts I found related seemed to be about driving without insurance, which isn't the case here. I have no interest in breaking or even "testing" the law!

Thanks. I'm new here, sorry if I'm in the wrong place or missing some vital etiquette.

You may be better off asking in the Yorks. regional forum area:

I think you can still take learners on the old RAF airfield at Norton, I'd imagine that there is a charge though.

There will be a charge. It's privately run.
