Been pondering on a car for some fun during the summer. After a quick blast driving Al's 348, I decided to persue that avenue. I drove a couple of 348 Spiders last week and came away a little dissapointed. They felt very good on the road without being blisteringly quick. Secure handling and poise but alas, I couldnt get comfortable. The pedals are very offset to the left and I struggled to brake without pressing the accelerator too. Maybe a LHD would be more suitable.
However, yesterday I tested a Noble M12-GTO3. What can I say.... I've raced many cars, from track sorted saloons to Formula 2000 with several blasts playing in an F3. Short of the F3, I have never driven anything that felt so fast and so completely sorted. Utterly relentless acceleration, pinsharp handling, phenominal roadholding, yet comfortable and very civilised... and it fitted me like a glove. Build quality puts TVR & Lotus to shame and the on-road performance is in a different league. Its not just that it hits 100mph in 9 seconds.... its the fact that it does it easily and repeatedly with total reassurance and some lovely noises to boot....
Any more suggestions as to what I should try before joining the 'Nobility'?

Which one would Will prefer to go posing in, a Noble... "what do you mean what is it? er, they're a small English car manufacturer, they're really fast and handle great" ..... or a Ferrari

And I do recall you said last week on the phone... "it's only for the summer then I'll get rid", which means you may take more of a hit on a newer Noble than an older Ferrari.

Me? Biased? Nooo siree, not me!

You and Wills going to Le Mans?
