Unless they were in a drag car or something similar, just how poor quality was the tarmac that it has been so badly damaged by wheel spinning.

Maybe they should also sue whomever laid the surface down.

Newly laid, probably very expensive roads aren't built like they used to be.

While I support them in recouping repair costs, £50k does seem a tad excessive, nay vexatious. It isn't a drag strip or a starting grid, the tarmac looks perfectly capable of supporting wear and tear from normal traffic. I'm fairly sure burnouts aren't classed as normal traffic.

There were videos on Facebook and Youtube (apparently all now removed as this is in the hands of the law) of the car in question doing a lengthy burnout down to the rims. Sparks and smoke everywhere.

Nothing wrong with a bit of entertainment for the crowd, but this was just taken too far.

Actions like this spoil it for the rest, I'd hate to live near a road like that where people think it's OK to recreate some sort of half assed scene from the fast and the furious.
