I'm in Bingley so I'll keep my eyes peeled. Being a big M3 fan and Santorini blue being a rare colour I'll definitely notice it if it goes by.

Not good! Not another of these snatch and grab thefts as you get out is it? I had an A3 turn around and start following me yesterday with the usual looking suspects 3/4 up, I took a another route as they pulled up next to me at some lights and I could see them eying the car up.

I do try and vary my route home and thankfully I don't really have a routine that they can follow.

No, thankfully. Broke into the house shortly after we left for the afternoon. I always keep an eye out for being followed home but who knows.

Hope it's found rare colour so it will stand out, interestingly there was one parked at the gym I go to a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't want it back after the scum had sat in it to be honest.

I know. However overall I'd rather have the car back than not, especially as I don't want a massive claim against my name every time I renew my insurance for the next 5 years.

Well fingers crossed you get it back then, I would imagine they will have parked it up to see if there is a tracker attached, or if they are pros then it'll be in a container on its way out of the country or stripped for parts.

Not good I hope you get it sorted either way.

Nuffield guiseley? Wills I know saying personally I wouldn't want it back but it's a rare car/colour so understand why op would have it back.

Getting worried now. Someone I know had his GS Lexus taken via the same method in the last few days (Rawdon).

Not good, well at least you can look forward to buying another car, don't let them under pay on the insurance prices are firm if not going up on e92 M3.

True. I've got autotrader adverts ready to argue my corner. Anyone got advice other than that?

I had a total write off claim on one of my old e92 M3s, I'd bought the car from JCT BMW back in the late unpleasantness of 2008 as a 1400 mile demo for £38,995 (bargain!) 16,000 miles and 7 months later it was written off by a friend in Ben Rhydding (on the back road between the lido and Askwith) the insurance paid out £42k

They have to put you in the same position you were in before the theft regardless of the cost, no better, no worse, was how the lady from direct line explained it to me. They looked at pricing from BMW dealers AUC cars and determined that prices had risen from the depths I'd bought at.

Helpful thank you. Added BMW AUC cars to my list of similar vehicles. Prices are all over the place, but this was a high spec car in a rare colour. Fingers crossed.
