Body Shop in North Yorkshire

Hey everyone

Can anyone reccomend a body shop in and around York or Scarborough?

I've got clear coat peeling away on my bumper and need to get it sorted ASAP, only noticed it today when cleaning my car.

I've heard good things of Chris Gregory and MW Bodyworks but I'm in Scarborough so would be a bit of trek for me so is it worth the drive for these guys or is there somewhere nearer?

Not sure of anyone closer but I used Chris Gregory a few years back on my TT when I managed to get my garden wall to collapse onto the side of it (still don't know how I managed it). Anyway, the job was absolute perfection - Audi wanted to replace my door among other things but when I got it back the car was like new, a perfect job. Have had the odd resprayed wing / etc. at various places over the years but the work done by Chris was exemplary. So if you want top of the line I'd definitely recommend based on my experience.

Near York, I've used Auto Refinishers at Dunnington and the work was very well done. They replaced a rusty arch on the rear quarter.

I've no personal experience of them, but Neales on Barry's Lane Scarborough get good reviews on FB.

I know it's a bit late replying but finally getting round to sorting this issue out.

Does anyone know how much a should roughly be paying for respray of bonnet a d bumper on abarth 500?

I'm having to get bonnet resprayed too now as someone decided to chuck a stone at it chipping paint and putting small dint in it. Just before winter so will need this sorting asap. I was fuming to say the least but at least getting full respray on my bonnet will sort any of defects or stone chips out.

I've had some work done to my car by SprayKraft at Tockwith which I am very happy with. My dad has also used them after seeing what they did for me.

I have used Richard at Spraycraft in Tockwith a good few times and he has worked on friends and family vehicles.

Always superb work and car has been returned in a really good state.

Never any evidence of work having been done at all.

Highly recommended!

We have just paid £260 to get both front and rear bumpers resprayed on the wife's Abarth 500. That was in Funk white (pearlescent), which is difficult to get right. Our local body shop did a great job and I can highly recommend them. Unfortunately they are based in Marske, so bit further North than you would like. Gives you an indication on price.
