Great news! We are happy to announce the date for the Easter Yorkshire Big Breakfast 2017!

Sunday April 16th will see thousands of car enthusiasts meet at Malton from 8.30am for a bacon sandwich and a chance to look at some of the finest cars from across the country.

In the 9 years that we have been organising this event, we have seen it become one of the countries biggest multi-marque car events with every kind of sports and classic car in attendance. We've had over 4000 people attend the last events and this promises to be even bigger.

As always everyone is encouraged to come along, whether you drive a car, ride a bike or walk. Please pass the invite on to your friends, work colleagues and car clubs. The more types of cars the better! You can confirm attendance on our Facebook page here. https://www.facebook.com/events/266566360433883/

As you can imagine due to the scale of the Big Breakfast we have a hefty police presence to ensure the event remains a fun, safe and enjoyable family day out.

We hope everyone will help us to keep the continued running of the Yorkshire Big Breakfast viable by driving sensibly and enjoying themselves responsibly.

Please follow the directions of our marshals whose job it is to keep traffic flowing and maintain access to some of the businesses on the estate who are working and need to have vehicles come in and out. To this end some areas of the estate will be no parking, signed by cones, please respect these cones to make sure we don't upset our neighbours and can continue to run the event.

As on previous occasions we're implementing the one way system around the estate from York Road, joining at the North East (Malton side) and leaving at the South West (A64 side).

Once again we have laid on extra parking just off the main B1248 York Road, a 2 minute walk to our workshops. This car parking will be used for overflow purposes but please feel free to park there if you'd prefer.

See you then!

Last few times we've had a run out there we've not been able to get close with our cars, we had M4's, RS5, Exiges, 996 Turbo, 997 Turbo, GT4, GTR... Setting off at 6am and we still have to dump them out of sight in the overflow car park. Becomes more of a chav-fest year on year.

Yea I'm pondering whether to go or not, I don't really want to park in the field, my car is just too low.

Waste of a journey if you get there and can only park in the field, seems to be more and more or the boom box brigade going too.

My big issue with attending is less the annoying chavtastic brigade, you drive a boring eurobox/jap snotter adding a big exhaust and playing awful 'music' very loudly changes nothing, and more the fact that it coincides with the ELMS/WEC meeting at Silverstone now.

Happens every year at various events, they all seem to want to be on the same bloody weekends!

I was planning on going to this for the first time, in fact the first time to any sort of car event but having read the comments I'm not so sure. What time do you need to arrive to be able to park not in a field and is there heavy queues in and out?
Cheers

Depends, i think it is normally okay, never seen a que to get out, some to get in maybe if you turn up at the wrong time.
Parking in the field is fine generally i never had an issue in my R8 which was a fairly low car. Just my current car is significantly lower and catches on everything.

It turned into a chav fest years ago and is best avoided imho. A victim of its own success I suppose. Oh and be aware that N Yorks police will have every member of their staff out in a car or van wielding a speed gun, hiding behind every bush and sitting atop every bridge on the A64.

edit: stupid typos

Caused solely by simpletons who didn't understand that it wasn't the place to show off and drive like tts.

Their payroll must be low if that's everyone out on the A64!
Perhaps edit your post not just for typos?

After having mine damaged last year there due to the amount of dis-respectful tts who think its ok to poke and prod someone else s car, I said I would never go again unless they stopped advertising the event so widely that the chav brigade came in force. That being said, was going to meet up with a group early on and have a bit of drive out and go there but I doubt I will stop, probably just carry on home, if I do, it would just be for a quick 10 minute chat and I will not leave the car unattended (and I advise anyone who cares about their car to always have someone with it).

Remember this. Not been back since but supposed to be headed up there this Easter. I am guessing it'll be as people have said above... Amazed Malton Porsche let anyone in their showroom.

Sorry, I'll try not to 'whinge' the next time someone damages one my cars, forgot that it's considered part of great morning out rolleyes

The cars that go are nowhere near on the level that they were 4-5 years ago, there is still some great cars that go but they are VERY few and far between and getting fewer every time.

So how did someone damage your car and what did they do? I had decided to go but I'm not so sure now. When you say the quality of the cars has gone downhill, what is the average car there then?

iirc someone played push the panel his C6 breaking clips maybe damaging paint?

It's spoilt now without fail by 3.14keys in some form of vauxhall playing music so loud your eyeballs rattle.

Was thinking of going to this, just how bad is it these days? I don't fancy parking mine in field somewhere and I don't fancy the possibility of it getting damaged.

As for police on the A64, nothing new there really.
