Is anybody going on this little run out on the 2nd April? Looks like a good little morning/early afternoon out.

I always think the Buttertubs pass is an over rated road mind.

It is, massively. When you're out in a big group you spend the whole time doing 20mph up the hill and the roads are fairly dreadful - far too bumpy for larger cars. Also: sheep.

I have never bothered for exactly that reasons. Far too many people go in it which 1) is no fun and 2) increases the chance of someone being an idiot and ruining someone's day

Bah! I was going to make it my first group outing... frown Are there any other meets going on around North or West Yorkshire? Something suitable for a modest RX-8...

There's the Malton Breakfast Meet, and cars in the park which are quite good meets/events.

Don't forget about cars in the park that's pretty good a couple of times a year.

Buttertubs is fine for a mid week run on a nice sunny spring day, the views are lovely and the road is quiet, however it's a not road to blast along, too narrow, too bumpy and sheep.
