I've never seen a PH meet advertised for up this way - any meets happen in the South Sheffield area? Be good to meet some new faces.

You're right, the South (of Yorkshire) is pretty quiet when it comes to meetings. Not sure how many members there are round here (I'm North Sheffield). So glad you've volunteered to organise something wink

South Yorkshire does seem to be less represented than West Yorkshire by some margin. Shame really.

There's quite a few of us around. Best regular meet is probably the Retro Rides one every month.

In the summer there's a few of us drive over to Horsepower at the Hall monthly meet at Newark Showground.

There's also an open day at CLP Automotive this weekend and there's a few PHers at that.

Theres a few PHer's in Sheffield, Im always up for a drive out/meet up with fellow petrolheads.

Once show season starts theres quite a few monthly meets around here which are quite popular.

Perhaps I'll try and organise one. Likely to be a Saturday / Sunday morning breakfast pub meet, kick a few tyres and home for lunch. Would people be interested, perhaps when the weather is a bit warmer...

A little way from Sheffield, but still very doable (especially considering the mentioned Newark meet)

The Little John at Papplewick (just down from Mansfield) have car meets every other Wednesday over the summer months, which attract hundreds every time. Usually a nice mix of stuff too, from vintage, to supercars, Japs, hot hatches et all.

I try to attend from a work aspect, and always enjoy it.

I'm thinking of setting up some sort of 'Cars & Coffee' meet in Sheffield, the proposed venue would be Damons Restaurant.

- it's got a huge car park
- it's not normally busy at breakfast
- it's a short commute from jnc31 of the M1
- they are open from 8am on Sundays
- they have a decent breakfast offering
- access to it is largely on decent roads free of speed bumps (as long as you avoid Beighton!)

Let me know if there's any serious interest and I'll organise something for when the weather improves.

Really keen Karl, let me know if you want a hand organising it. Could probably drum up a few westfields to get the numbers up if required...

Sounds good to me, are we going to wait until it gets warmer, April/May?

Myself and my two lads would definitely be up for this one, live in Stannington, north Sheffield, so only 25 minutes away for us.

As has already been said, maybe end of March onwards would be good.

Going to check dates for other local-ish events (such as horsepower at the hall) to make sure there's no clash, but we're probably looking at late march / early April, will keep you all updated smile
