Yorkshire Big Breakfast 2016
Discussion
Great news! We are happy to announce the date for the Autumn Yorkshire Big Breakfast 2016!
Sunday October 16th will see thousands of car enthusiasts meet at Malton from 8.30am for a bacon sandwich and a chance to look at some of the finest cars from across the country.
In the 9 years that we have been organising this event, we have seen it become one of the countries biggest multi-marque car events with every kind of sports and classic car in attendance. We've had over 4000 people attend the last events and this promises to be even bigger.
As always everyone is encouraged to come along, whether you drive a car, ride a bike or walk. Please pass the invite on to your friends, work colleagues and car clubs. The more types of cars the better! You can confirm attendance on our Facebook page here. https://www.facebook.com/events/308948136125676/
As you can imagine due to the scale of the Big Breakfast we have a hefty police presence to ensure the event remains a fun, safe and enjoyable family day out.
We hope everyone will help us to keep the continued running of the Yorkshire Big Breakfast viable by driving sensibly and enjoying themselves responsibly.
Please follow the directions of our marshals whose job it is to keep traffic flowing and maintain access to some of the businesses on the estate who are working and need to have vehicles come in and out. To this end some areas of the estate will be no parking, signed by cones, please respect these cones to make sure we don't upset our neighbours and can continue to run the event.
As on previous occasions we're implementing the one way system around the estate from York Road, joining at the North East (Malton side) and leaving at the South West (A64 side).
Once again we have laid on extra parking just off the main B1248 York Road, a 2 minute walk to our workshops. This car parking will be used for overflow purposes but please feel free to park there if you'd prefer.
See you then!

Think it's PCGB Sunday service first, then Malton for me.
Have a check with Mark (aka Supersport) regarding timings as he mentioned at the last Yorkshire region Sunday Service that he may arrange it for after the Malton meet and offer cake instead of bacon butties. gemini said:

Yeah, went across with a couple of friends in the Capri and the VXR8, it was a.......erm......interesting crowd there, it felt like more of a Fiesta and Focus ST meet!
Its gone like that in recent years. More of a barry boys meet now I think. I dont go anymore. There some very nice cars mixed in, there were a lot of ST/RS that got a bit repetitive, makes a change from WRXs though.

One of my biggest gripes was the amount of people who were pushing and flexing the corvettes body panels(because that's what they did on top gear 'innit'), do these people really think it's acceptable to do this? Yes it fibreglass panels, yes, they flex, but that doesn't give you the right to start forcing the panels in to see how far they flex, it could easily end up cracking or damaging the paint, I hadn't been for a couple of years and thought it had gone downhill then, now, it definitely has!

My gripe is the cars that turn up and blast 'music' so loud I get a head ache while trying to wander around. Problem is you literally cannot get away from that without staying the other end of the industrial estate.
I think this was my last visit having been going regularly for at least 5-6 years. Which saddens me because of how I've enjoyed it previously, but rather than moan about it every 6 months I'll just not go instead
p.s those pics just reminded me, highlight of the day for me were the two 4x4 Fiat Pandas those looked a lot of fun!
