do you have a son around 23ish?

I met a lad last night in Ikea who drives a Mrk 4 Golf TDi who was just joining the North Yorkshire Police, apparently his father owns a old TVR "wedge shaped" and is putting a V12 in. From what I remember, you own a "old" TVR which is "wedge-shaped" and are putting a V12 in?

If I'm right, say hi for me

Not sure exactly how old Steve is but I don't reckon he's going to be too happy with you thinking he has a 23 year old son

Said Golf didn't have a PH decal on the bumper by any chance did it?
I have seen the same model in the IKEA car park at Centre 27 near Leeds!
The only PH sticker I've ever seen in the wild

yes well, I was going to put that in my post to say that I thought he was too young, but then I thought I might upset him. It's a strange ole world I live in!

In any case, there is someone else putting a V12 into a wedge

I had a massive grin on my face as he walked out of the shop as I realised who he probably was. I had to explain to the next customer I "knew" you as they were pertrubed as to why a grinning bufoon was serving them Made my night it did.

Steve,
John here.
Did you know the car was the ex 1987 Malmo motorshow car?

Linda's managed to find some original Swedish news paper cuttings that feature the car at the show with some pictures. Interesting price back then - quoted as around £70,000....My Swedish is a bit rusty but I'll try and help with the translation.

Will bring them along to Sunday's meeting if you're going to be there. They belong with the car so you're welcome to them.
