Who'd be up for testing the power of their car out and getting a definitive printout at a rolling road in Batley?

I've been in touch with a Turbo specialists who have a 500BHP capable setup for 2 and 4 wheel drive cars who can offer us a fun day of noise and knowhow for around £30 per head.

Could be a saturday or sunday in the near future, depending on how long it takes to get a minimum of 15 cars organised.

Yep Well Lane is a great place. I used to work across the road on Sundays and would go and watch the rolling road shootouts during my breaks. Thoroughly recommended and I would love to come and watch if you do have a day there!

No problem, the more the merrier.
Fancy putting the Micra on the rollers?

I would do for a laugh!
I have watched many a car on the rollers there, used to go down on my bike when I was younger! Even got to sit in an Impreza Turbo when I was young!

Batley, wrong side of the hills but not a million miles from me,
I guess from the price this is a quick power run rather than a tune & retest day.
Does anyone know what a std'ish 350 (190bhp) should put out at the wheels?

Doc: nice looking car. 1984?
Tune up as well would cost you £80. Don't see why not though, and may reduce the numbers required to make it worth their while.
I'm not trying to steal customers from Vixpy1 here, I guess none of us northerners would make it to Surrey for a shoot out anyway.

Depending upon the day you choose, I would be up for it. Intrigued as to what mine puts out since it's upgrade.

We'll see how much interest this initial "sound it out thread" gets before we consider dates. Realistically I think we're looking at the early spring when people have dusted off their cars and are checking them over for the new season. Mid March maybe.

Come on everyone, lets blow the cobwebs out from under those bonnets!

I am up for this depending on how soon. Need to get MOT sorted so probably earliest could do will be late Feb. Best to keep me on the reserve list!

4 wedges - maybe we could get enough to do a wedge rolling road day - wonder how many times thats been done?!

Lets not get all model exclusive here.
All welcome from Ben's Micra to Stainless Steve's new 6.6Litre Wedge. or beyond

Anyone with a 4wd drive car should check that you don't need to disconnect your front drive shaft to safely run on the road. Scoobs and Evos excluded of course as Well Lane do loads of these, and will know what they are doing

Well nobody's threatened to bring a Range Rover so far so we're probably ok on this score.

Would be interested, especially if they can give it a tune whilst there. Was planning on a trip to John Nobles in Chesterfield anyway. Could easily swap venues

Well that's two people interested in a tune and rerun so that equates to 4 runs. Another four interested in a printout, so if we can get a few more it'll be worth their while to open up on a sunday for us.

I'd be interested in getting the Tuscan measured. Are we allowed to get the excuses in on here before the results, just in case?
