I wish I'd got all this on video but I was too busy creased up laughing . With Toms collection of cars I thought he would have been an expert at bump starting.
just picked up the mini from the garage who've supposedly fixed the problem which caused the buggering up of the mini on that day out..I say "supposedly" as it showed signs of the same symptoms on the A1 on the way home again
on a sadder note, the Ginetta was broken into last night so I've moved it to a hopefully safe place in my garage in newcastle until I can garage it down here in nottingham thieving pricks
on a happier note, it only took me 1 hour 45 minutes to do the 175 miles north from nottingham to newcastle and that's including a pit stop at rainton I was in a rage and thought: feck it, one last burnup!

What the hell did they want to nick?!!!!
I usually just leave the doors unlocked and nowt inside worth nicking 'cept for a £4.99 pair of sunglasses just to keep em happy!
they were looking for a stereo because they'd ripped off the panel covering the hole where it would go if it didn't add weight and therefore hadn't been fitted!
the window doesn't lock into the roof like on a normal convertible so they simply bent it 90 degrees to reach in. funny thing is, if they'd tried the door it would've opened because when I got it out the dealer from it's service on tuesday night I found to my abject despair that although the doors now opened successfully, they no longer could be locked. I only found this out when I tried to lock it up outside my house when I'd driven the 160 miles back to my house, and I can hardly drive it back when I have to work etc, etc, moan whinge moan
so, it's now residing in a lock up 175 miles from where I live so there's no chance of me driving it again until move somewhere with a garage, and that won't be happening until circa 6-12 months. I'm thinking of selling it

Don't do it. You and the Ginetta are nuptial or is it conjugal. You'll never forgive yourself. Surely there's a lockup somewhere nearer.
my rage is subsiding now...especially since Itook it out on one of our company 316's round the ring road
I just don't like to think of 12k of gorgeous machinery sitting pining for the daily thrashing it usually gets. oh, and costing me money too
