I am very pleased to announce that my car does officially give good flame
After I met Tony Heth and his mate Phil at the motorway junction 5 mins from our house, pulled into a lane, booted it a bit in second, reached the car in front, lifted off... and apparently the whole road lit up!
Tony said that all four tail pipes, simultaneously and independently whacked out a 2 foot long blue flame
yes yes, childish I know, but ultimately very satisfying

I saw it in a little booklet that came with one of the Top Gear mags back in Sept. Coolest things for lads type thing. In it was the Tag Heuer 'Monaco' watch from the 1960s and that Steve McQueen wore in the film Le Mans.
I'm not really big into watches, certainly ones that cost that much.... but my lovely wife obviously thought better and surprised me fine style, when the Santa that came round the restaurant giving out kiddies pressies presented me with this small but rather heavy box!
It's a belter and the only watch I've ever seen and thought, hmm, I would actually really like one of those.

Very nice indeed.
By coincidence, I woke up this morning and popped sky on (while Sylv cooked my breakfast) and watched Le Mans - brilliant film, but didn't really notice the watch he was wearing.
I actually have quite a bit of footage of the FRONT of Rob's porka, but one bit on the M62 westbound after we went our separate ways shows that he definitely doesn't like to stay behind. For private viewings only.

Yup - I hereby announce the flamage that came from Al's car!!
Looked rather good....very dark roads, accelerated hard got to top revs but (IIRC) didn't change gear and let it slow down again, and just as he backed off, 4 lovely blue flames came from those 4 sparkly exhausts.
I think my exact words to the guy sat next to me were "Quality......Al is gonna LOVE that!!"

That's because I'm polite
And you're so bloody macho that you won't let anyone pass you
Can't say I've noticed any flames from yours Rob... though that could be because the turbos are blowing so bloody hard now that any flame wouldn't stand a chance!
are you letting the ferrari name down on the pistonheads runs looks like i will have to come on the next ride out

Will have to be late Feb or early March now Rob as I'm off skiing soon and also changing jobs.
I'd prefer to do another Sunday morning - aiming for dawn departure again, but for a change, it'd be nice to head into North Lincs.
Any takers? I'll post another thread in Yorks later on.
