yes. I'm currently mulling over whether the fecking mini has tested my patience too damn far this time! thinking about an elise but i'd want the fastest one (james & lisa your car is very nice!) and they're 30k! still tempted though...might buy a new mini (sacrilege!) or possibly a sportka and tune it (might be called a chav!) or a clio 182 (no personality) oh I don't know, I'm still trying to restrain myself from beating the sh1t out of the mini

You don't need to get a new one for that. You can pick up an early S1 (most reliable car I've ever owned ), and get the Bell & Colvill/Turbo Technics treatment on it. Easily 200BHP, if not higher. Imagine moto-build (www.moto-build.co.uk) would be worth a call - they do a whole load of Rover engine tuning. Think they can hit 190BHP or so without even fitting a 'charger (remember pricing up a whole load of options when I had the S1).

You know it makes sense...
