Morning

Can anybody recommend a good BMW specialist in the Doncaster area? Need a service doing.

Failing that, any recommendations for generally good garages?

Cheers folks!

Personally, I wouldn't recommend WH in Doncaster. Send me a PM or E-mail if you want to know why.

We have 3 BMW's and have had all of them purchased/serviced there.

I now use Auto Logic in Hull (I live in Howden) and it's worth the trip. My 328 now has 202k and it came back from another Insp II feeling fit as a butchers dog and cost about £200 I think. Only downer is lipstick pink Saxo 1.1 loaner

I work in Sheffield and haven't sussed out a good independent there yet.

Sorry but I would beg to differ with you there. All six of my M3s have been bought at dealers other than WH, they have looked after all of them from new and I have always had good service from them and a decent discount. Not bad when I have never bought any car from them.

Sorry, as I said it's only my personal experience.

Perhaps you'd take my car in next time for me then? Perhaps I need to fit an ///M badge?

Intersting thread. So are Sytners and Bridgegate not the best local places to take my newly acquired Mcoupe ?

One of my freinds brothers works @ Bridgegate so hopefully I can get better than normal service. If normal is very bad then I may be ok

I use a guy in South Leeds for non-service work, I'm guessing that's too far away for you? He's very good and cheap too; specialises in Jag's & BMW's.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually Im up to Leeds a lot as half of my customers are based there. Used to live off Wellington Street for my sins - city living sucks.

I dont suppose you know how much they charge for a 4 wheel laser align ?

This garage isn't that technical, they're more your good solid reliable mechanic type. AFAIK Laser alignment costs ~£150.00, I had my TVR done, but not in Leeds.

Wellington Street you say, I can probably see where you lived from my office window!

Thanks again. The two official dealers are wanting 140 - 180 where as a set up at a fast road place is 102 so I guess I'll be using them.

As for Leeds centre - used to live in Atlantic Apartments which was cool but feck all parking was a real pain. Oh and the Soul Kitchens all nighters got a wee bit tiresome when one wanted to sleep

Cheers

We had a KDS on our M Roadster at Lister Park in Bradford.

They quoted £180 ish but only charged about £100 as they charged purely on a time basis.
